My story... (so far!)
After graduating from university, I embarked on a career in the corporate world, working in a range of training and development roles. However, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 22, I know you know the feeling…
For several years, I faced a constant battle with chronic illness, enduring numerous aggressive relapses and countless stays in hospital and rehab. I was frustrated by how my life had changed. And I feared my unknown future. Eventually, I realised that I could make a difference in how I approached my situation.
I realised my mindset matters!
Soon my life was unrecognisable and filled with some incredible experiences. From living in Edinburgh to volunteering in Romania. Leaving my corporate career to become a social worker. Even writing my book, Life Interrupted.
I developed the Hurdle2Hope® Roadmap based on the stages I've navigated through since my MS diagnosis. Today, I'm utilising the insights gained at each stage to help me navigate a new diagnosis. Stage 4 breast cancer. While helping others do the same.
The good news is that the Hurdle2Hope® Roadmap works! No matter what your illness is. Navigating this new world of cancer has taught me that.
I'm excited to share the Hurdle2Hope® Roadmap with you to demonstrate that when your life is interrupted by a chronic illness diagnosis, you can still have an impact on your experience. Every step of the way!
