My story... (so far!)

After completing university I  started a corporate career working in various training and development roles.  However, life took an unexpected turn, and in 1997 aged 22 years, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.

For a number of years my life was dominated by chronic illness. Physically I was experiencing so many aggressive relapses. Hospital and rehab became a revolving door. I was frustrated by how my life had changed. And I feared my unknown future. But then I realised that I could have an impact on my experience.

The Hurdle2Hope ® Roadmap represents that stages I have navigated through since being diagnosed with MS. Today I am using the insights gained at each of these stages to navigate through a new diagnosis. Stage 4 breast cancer.

The good news is that it is helping me navigate through this new world of cancer as well.

I really do look forward to sharing Hurdle2Hope ® with you. I want to demonstrate that when your life is interrupted by a chronic chronic illness diagnosis that you really can have an impact on your experience.
